Just me and GOD

YOU'VE GOT TO SEE THIS!

It happened just moments ago at our Gospel Crusade here in Ghana (11/9/13)

A man stood before me trembling and overcome with emotion. He had a look of shock on his face. “My name is Mohammed,” he said, and he proceeded to tell me his story. He had been deaf for almost two years. He was a Muslim and didn’t even intend on coming tonight. He had just arrived in town from another city by train and ventured into the city center (Independence square – where our campaign is being held). He could not understand anything that was going on so he lied down and went to sleep, and when he woke up, he could hear!

I asked him if he knew who had healed him and he said it is “the messenger of the Almighty God…Jesus.“ The whole thing was so raw and fresh. I could see he was struggling to come to terms with what he had just realized. “Jesus is, Jesus is…he is a God,” he said, as though the thought had just occurred to him. He said, even the Koran says if you do not believe in Jesus Christ you are not a good Muslim. He seemed to be trying to justify this to himself. But I wanted to make it clear for the thousands watching this unfold, “Jesus is not just a messenger,” I said, “He is the Son of the living God. He is the way, the truth and the life…”

By the end of our conversation, he seemed to be settled and completely sure. He said that his wife did not yet know what had happened to him, so he announced the name of the city where he lives and said, “Tell my wife, Jesus is the Son of God!” I wish you could have seen the crowd. No football team has ever received such enthusiasm – they were jumping and dancing and shouting with joy unspeakable and full of glory. It is a moment I will never forget.

Thanks be to GOD for this testimony.

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT - SIT DOWN AND SHARPEN YOUR AX!

In the kingdom of God, the growing process must be respected.  There are simply no shortcuts to maturity.  1Samuel 17:33-37 shows us Davids progression in the spiritual life.1 Samuel 17:33–37 (ESV)

33 And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him, for you are but a youth, and he has been a man of war from his youth.”

34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock,

35 I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him.

36 Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.”

37 And David said, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”

You take on lions and bears before you ever take on giants!  It's a progression.  We learn to conquer small things before we take on large things.  We learn to take God's Word and believe for small things like  colds and headaches before we take on cancer.  Sometimes people are defeated because they 'bite off more than they can chew.'

The question must be asked then: How can we be ready for the big giants that come to destroy our peace?   The answer lies in your
everyday spiritual routine.  The key to progress is what you do during your down-times, when you are not facing obstacles and tests.   The writer of Ecclesiastes gives us a clue.

Ecclesiastes 10:10 (AV)

10 If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet (sharpen) the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.

If your ax is dull, it can't take down the tree easily.  You have to use more strength if your ax is not sharp.  So many are endeavoring to take down the obstacles in their life and wonder why they struggle and why they are so tired.  We need to listen to what wisdom has to say here!   Wisdom directs us that if our ax is dull - sit down and sharpen it!!!

You sharpen your spiritual axe through time in the Word, time in prayer, time fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit.  It may seem like nothing spectacular is happening and that life is very ordinary but don't be fooled.  I'm not sure why it works this way but one day you will look down at your axe and know you have arrived.  You look into your spirit and your grown and your edge glistens in the noon day sun!  Now, you take on that tree, you take on that obstacle and its a whole different story.  The tree comes crashing down and you wonder why you didn't do that before.

It all happened because you took the time to sit-down and sharpen your ax!

STYLE FOCUS-PASTOR DEITRICK HADDON

Deitrick Haddon (born may 17,1973) is a gospel singer, producer and pastor. A gospel artist known for his contemporary style of music and He is heavily into fashion :). These days am loving the way preachers, gospel artist, etc are representing God too through fashion...hmmm swweeet.

He said for so long, in gospel music, it wasn't about swag. It was about being anointed and people didn't care about what they put on. IF you are going to really represent GOD, you got to have some swag PERIOD!

Hmm we Love Deitrick Haddon and we pray for more swag and Grace.

Understanding God's True Grace

Grace is the favor of GOD that gives us access to the power of GOD for everything we need for life and godliness.

Many Christians find it difficult to understand grace because they confuse it for mercy. Grace is the undeserved, unearned favor of GOD that gives us access to the power of GOD for everything we need in life and for godliness. Mercy is when we have sinned and deserve judgment, yet because of the blood of Jesus we don't receive the punishment we should.

Grace gives favor to access the power of GOD; mercy releases us from the judgment of GOD.
None of us deserves access to GOD and His power (Romans 3:23). Because of sin,we all deserve an everlasting hell. Yet God has given us access to all HE is and all He has.

EVERYTHING COMES THROUGH GRACE

We are saved through grace. Acts 15:11

We believe through grace. Acts 18:27

We receive our inheritance by Grace. Acts 20:32

We obey by Grace. (It is by grace we please GOD,no rule
or regulation would). Rom 1:5

We stand by Grace.(A lot of people say they can't resist temptation.that's a lie from the pit of hell, because grace-God's grace-gives us power to stand) Rom 5:2

We receive spiritual gifts by Grace (Rom 12:6)

Everything we need comes by Grace. And Grace comes by Faith in JESUS CHRIST (Ephesians 2 vs 8-9).
(Adapted from Steve Foss book " Grace is not a get out of hell free card)

God's Grace be sufficient for us all and more,in Jesus name.Amen

ANOTHER KIND OF MURDER THAT MUST BE AVOIDED

Beloved, ritual killers, assassins and abortionists are murderers. However, there is another category of people who are still murderers without necessarily killing anybody physically. This includes those walking in hatred, bitterness and wrath towards their neighbor and those who destroy and assassinate the character and reputation of other people in their absence. They fail to realize that in the sight of God, such a lifestyle establishes them on the same platform with notorious killers like Adolf Hitler and all the wicked terrorists, as well as serial killers on the earth.

Counsel: Stop walking in hatred and stop destroying people’s reputation. Repent and ask God for Grace to see good in others and to walk in peace and love. I curse the root of bitterness, gossip and character assassination from off your life right now. Receive Grace to walk in integrity. Peace.
